A former long-serving police officer and police prosecutor in the Mackay region, Marcus’s street-smart approach and knowledge of the justice system sees him unmatched in supporting clients who face a wide range of criminal charges.

Marcus brings an invaluable perspective to his legal practice, shaped by his previous career in the Queensland Police Service. Prior to becoming a solicitor, Marcus served in the QPS as a member of the Dog Squad, before moving into the role of Police Prosecutor. These experiences have equipped him with a deep, practical understanding of the criminal justice system and a strong courtroom presence.

Since joining McKays, Marcus has become a highly regarded criminal defence lawyer in the Mackay region and beyond. His ability to combine legal knowledge with real-world insight ensures his clients receive strategic, results-driven representation.

Marcus is known for his approachable and down-to-earth manner, which allows him to build strong relationships with clients and colleagues alike. His steady stream of client referrals is a testament to the trust he inspires with all those who meet him.
