Who we help

Our conveyancing lawyers and paralegals at McKays Solicitors have unrivalled expertise to handle your property transaction efficiently.

Whether you’re buying or selling, you need a team that understands the intricacies of property law. At McKays Solicitors, we leverage our extensive experience and dedicated support to ensure your transaction proceeds smoothly.

We assist a wide range of clients, including

  • First home owners
  • Property sellers
  • Seasoned investors
  • Family members transferring property between each other

We also act for property developers on a range of major projects including subdivisions, residential and rural developments and high rise residential property developments. See our Property and Development section for more information.

We will explain to you the ins and outs of the conveyancing process and are happy to answer any questions you may have along the way.

We can assist with drafting contracts or negotiating the terms of a contract on your behalf if you do not have an agent involved or have any special terms you want included in your contract.

It is important that at the time you receive a draft contract, you seek legal advice immediately, so that you can negotiate the terms of the contract. If the contract is already signed before you provide it to you solicitor, it is often difficult to then negotiate the terms of the contract. If you provide us with the draft contract before you sign it, we can explain the contract terms to you in an easy to understand way to ensure you enter into a deal you are comfortable with and there are no nasty surprises that could have been easily avoided.

Reviews

Customer testimonials

Our conveyancing service was prompt, efficient and we were kept in the loop every step of the way. Not living in the Mackay area our conveyancing was done by phone and email and we were a little sceptical but there was great communication and response times. I have recommended this firm to a family member who has also been happy with the service. Excellent value.
