Brad Zielbell combines more than 20 years of policing experience with a practical, approachable style to help clients navigate criminal, traffic and domestic violence matters.

Before joining McKays Solicitors, Brad served with the Queensland Police Service, rising to the rank of Sergeant. From 2009 onwards, his work included investigating criminal offences, gathering and assessing evidence, interviewing witnesses and preparing reports for prosecution. This experience gives him valuable insight into how matters are investigated and prepared, and how the justice system operates in practice.

Most recently, Brad held the position of Domestic and Family Violence Coordinator within the Mackay Whitsunday Domestic, Family Violence and Vulnerable Persons Unit. This senior role required leadership, sound judgement and the careful management of complex and highly sensitive matters.

Brad brings that same care and attention to his legal practice. With a sharp eye for detail, he works methodically through the evidence, identifies the issues that matter and develops a clear, well-considered strategy for each client.

Warm, approachable and easy to talk to, Brad understands that seeking legal advice can feel daunting. He takes the time to listen without judgement, explain the available options and help clients feel comfortable asking questions. His focus is on providing clear advice so clients understand their position and can make informed decisions about the way forward.

Brad recognises the significant impact legal proceedings can have on a person, their family and their future. He is committed to thorough preparation, practical guidance and working towards the best possible outcome for each client.
