We pride ourselves on being a relaxed, friendly and open place to work. We have a culture which values working together, supporting each other and celebrating each other's successes. We work hard, are purposeful, yet always make time to have some fun!
Our management style is inclusive – we involve our people in the decision making process and we work together as a team in developing and implementing our policies and procedures.
We use the latest technology and have a firm commitment to the continuing development of the knowledge and skills of our people. We take great pride in the fact that McKays has the reputation of being one of the best places to work in Mackay.

Solicitors and Lawyers
Our solicitors are encouraged to focus on one or two areas of law to be able to offer our clients the highest quality of legal advice.
We offer a structured career progression program, with one-on-one support from your supervisor and mentor. As well as providing in-house training programs such as our ‘Emerging Lawyers Program’ for newly admitted lawyers and regular ‘Sharing of Knowledge’ meetings for all team members, we strongly encourage our practitioners to develop their technical skills through external CPD events and activities.
We value friendly, supportive team dynamics and encourage an entrepreneurial mindset in our staff.
Due to growth, we are currently seeking expressions of interest from solicitors with experience in all commercial and litigation areas including in particular: Family Law, Commercial Law, Estate Planning and Commercial Litigation.
