With over 20 years of experience as a police prosecutor in North Queensland Sabine brings a wealth of courtroom expertise to our firm.
Sabine Scott is an Associate in McKays’ Criminal Law team, known for her exceptional courtroom experience, strategic insight, and unwavering commitment to achieving the best possible outcomes for her clients.
With 24 years of service in the Queensland Police Service, including 19 years as a Police Prosecutor and 10 years as Officer in Charge of Police Prosecutions, Sabine offers clients a rare and powerful advantage. She understands how matters are assessed, prepared, and prosecuted from the inside, and uses that knowledge to build strong, effective defence strategies.
Since joining McKays in 2022 Sabine has rapidly established herself as a trusted advocate. She regularly appears in court on both private and Legal Aid Queensland matters, undertakes Duty Lawyer work in Mackay, and travels to Moranbah to support regional clients, ensuring quality representation is accessible wherever it is needed.
Sabine is highly skilled in managing complex criminal and domestic violence matters. She prepares detailed submissions, drafts Supreme Court bail applications, and works closely with clients and counsel to ensure every case is thoroughly prepared and strategically positioned. Her approach is methodical, focused, and results-driven.
