Marty specialises in estate planning and administration, business structures and asset protection. He also holds a keen interest in superannuation and how it relates to his areas of specialisation. In the area of estate planning, Marty has a strong focus on the drafting of wills and associated documents to maximise the utility of these documents for his clients. His practice in the above areas requires a good knowledge of company, trust and partnership law, capital gains tax, goods and services tax, stamp duty and succession law.
Marty acts for a wide range of clients, from individuals looking to update their wills, through to people with intricate business dealings wanting a complete planning, structuring and protective solution for both their business and personal interests.
Career Summary:
After graduating from the Queensland University of Technology with Bachelor Degrees in Law and Business (Accounting Major), Marty began his legal training and initial time as a solicitor in the area of criminal defence. He then undertook postgraduate study in Stirling, Scotland, before returning to Australia to take a position with McKays Solicitors. Marty is currently undertaking further study through the Securities Institute.
