Kate's principal area of interest is family law. Kate can assist clients with family law matters relating to married and de facto couples including divorce, residence, contact, specific issues, recovery, enforcement, property settlement, separation agreements and domestic violence protection orders. Kate also has experience in the area of criminal law.

Career Summary:
Kate was first introduced to McKays Solicitors when she completed work experience with the firm in 2005. Kate returned to McKays Solicitors as a Law Clerk in January, 2008. Since returning to the firm she has gained invaluable experience in conveyancing law, involving the sale and purchases of various properties. She was admitted as a solicitor in early November and initially moved to the commercial section of McKays, where she assisted clients with various commercial matters including the sale and purchase of commercial properties, commercial leasing, franchising and assists with the drafting of Wills. 2009 finds Kate working in the area of Litigation focusing on family law.

• Graduate Diploma of Legal Practice (College of Law Queensland)
• Admitted as a Solicitor to the Supreme Court of Queensland
