Karen has over ten years experience in civil court matters including insurance and general civil litigation.
Karen helps clients who need advice about industrial relations and employment law and can assist with matters such as disciplinary processes, collective or individual agreements, drafting and interpreting employment contracts, unfair dismissal claims and the impact of the recent changes to federal industrial relations laws, known as WorkChoices.
Career Summary:
Karen was admitted to practice in 1994. She worked for a large leading Adelaide law firm between 1994 and 2001 and gained a wide range of experience in all areas of insurance and civil litigation.
She then worked for four years with a well respected firm specializing in insurance and civil litigation matters, before making a permanent move to Queensland, and joining McKays Solicitors in October, 2005.
Qualifications:

• Bachelor of Arts
• Graduate Certificate in Legal Practice
• Admitted as a Solicitor to the Supreme Court of South Australia
• Admitted as a Solicitor to the High Court of Australia
