Geoff’s primary areas of expertise lies in commercial property, leasing and business law. This, with his commercial litigation experience, means he can deliver practical, useful advice and quickly identify solutions to clients’ problems.
Geoff works closely with his clients most of which are small to medium size businesses and is the trusted advisor of a number of high net worth individuals. Geoff has also acted for various accountants and clients in relation to insolvency matters (administration, liquidation, statutory trusteeships, receiverships, bankruptcies and mortgage enforcements)
Career Summary:
After completing his university degrees, Geoff commenced his legal career at A Kootsookos & Co., a boutique Brisbane firm. He became a partner in 1985, continuing in that role until 1988. In that year Geoff was a founding partner of Rogers Matheson Clark, a firm with a substantial client base in the retail, manufacturing, property and finance industries.
After twenty years practising as a partner of Rogers Matheson Clark, in July 2008, Geoff joined the Business and Banking team at McKays, in the Brisbane office, as a partner.

• Admitted as a Solicitor to the High Court of Australia
• Admitted as a Solicitor to the Supreme Court of Queensland
